Fall River Reservoir is a short trail that shares a trailhead with Chinns Lake. 2.0Mi from the trail head you come to a Y in the trail. Left takes you to Chinns Lake, right and you can continue up to Fall River Reservoir. Fall River Reservoir is slightly shorter and slightly easier than Chinns Lake. It is a nice wide trail with plenty of room to pass other vehicles. Most stock SUV's and perhaps some well driven higher clearance cars could make it to the parking area at Fall River Reservoir.
From the parking area you have to take a short walk up to the reservoir, where hiking and fishing can be enjoyed. There are fewer camping spots along this trail than Chinns Lake but may be a great back up location.
Head up Fall River Rd. off I-70 go 10.3 miles to the Rainbow Rd (RD 274) sign, it is directly at the base of the second set of switchbacks. Stay right at the Y 2.0 miles up and enjoy!
